In truth, Crafty Girls Workshop couldn’t exist without the wonderful men and women who support the shop every day, thanks for all your support!
But who is the head Crafty Girl? Why it’s me, Anna, the girl behind the fabric. I maintain the website, organize all the advertising, communication, ordering, and basically run the place. I do, because I’m the owner.
I learned to sew six-ish years ago and was hooked! I immediately started to save to get a Bernina and in the Christmas of 2005 my dream came true. Now I’m living my new dream of running a great online fabric shop AND have opened a brick and mortar shop in San Antonio, TX to teach classes in addition to selling fabric. I like fun, bright, funky fabrics, usually with BIG prints. I like to think outside the blocks and I don’t “just” quilt but enjoy making all sorts of cute clothes and tote bags. When it comes to fabric, there isn’t anything I won’t try. Lately I’ve been dabbling in mixed media, although that could be my Crafty ADD taking effect. I just knew there was a way to add my love of stamps, paper and fabric all in one!
I hope you’ll join me on this crazy roller coaster ride called life of a small business owner/craft-a-holic.
LOVE the new web layout, Anna! Been kinda busy the past couple of weeks and haven’t seen it yet…it looks great. Can’t wait for my next class, definitely have some Git Er Done projects that need gettin’ done :)!

Anna,
Just wanted to thank you for taking my call last week. I did visit the Las Colchas shop and fell in love immediately. I took a bus ride, so I wasn’t able to stay for the modern quilt guild meeting. Let’s stay in touch. I’ll be sure to visit San Antonio again, and the Las Colchas shop. Kelly
