Sketch-In at Crafty Girls Workshop

There is an awesome blog called The Sketchbook Challenge. (Click image above to visit the blog) Each month the AMAZINGLY talented contributing artists post a challenge for the world to use to inspire us to fill the pages of our sketchbooks. Then you can post pictures of your sketchbook to Flickr and win prizes!

Some fun events have grown out of the love of this great blog! Particularly a fun event called a Sketch-In. I am lucky enough to have one of those AMAZINGLY talented contributing artists here in SAN ANTONIO! And she asked if we could host a sketch in HERE at Crafty Girls Workshop. I said OF COURSE! Here is how Leslie Tucker Jenison, who is an incredibly talented artists, has been on Quilting Arts TV, teaches at the CREATE Mixed Media Retreats, contributes to Quilting Arts Magazine, and tons of other great publications and creative adventures, describes the Sketch-In

A laid-back, fun evening of drawing and playing with mixed media goodies on paper. If you have ever wanted to experiment with the idea of working in a sketchbook but don’t know where to start, if you have been telling yourself you can’t keep a sketchbook because you “don’t know how to draw,” this little workshop is for you!”

Space is very limited, there are only 7 slots available (but we will start a waiting list if needed) so PLEASE sign up RIGHT NOW if you’d like to attend. This little event is only $10 to attend, it’s going to be a small group of just 10 people, for a couple of hours of relaxed fun! In other cities, these events are 3 or 4 times that and Leslie is really an inspiration to be around.

When: Thursday April 28

Time: 6:00pm-8:30 or 9pm
