Yippee! I’m so excited to be on the bloggy book tour for Block Party!! Haven’t heard about this book? I received this book for my shop back in May and I was SO excited to get the book that I wrote a review right away! You can hop over and read that review here. Gosh, it’s so hard to decide which is my favorite…but as of right now, I’d say the hexagons!
I like a lot of the quilts, but I really want to make one of those wonky log cabin quilts.
Oh wow I’m super excited for this book! I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I think my favorite – if I HAD to choose one (and this might change) is the mitered corners quilt. Maybe. 🙂

The twin quilt that is gray with circles sets my heart aflutter. They are all awesome, but that one is just beautiful.

The quilt on the bed — white with specks of color — is my favorite. I love how the color pops on the white background, and it looks unplanned but I know it’s definitely not.
There was one with a grey background and lots of circles in pinks, oranges, etc. which I loved. Also the Roman Stripe one. This book looks great!

If I had the time.. I’d make every one! They are all so beautiful. My embarrassing story is that when I went to make my very first quilt ever, I decided that hexagons would be a great idea. LOL, disaster!! I’d like to try again, though – the hex quilt in this book is so cute! Thank you!

I love the one with the aqua, yellow, and tan/beige colors. It’s photographed outside like a picnic blanket and half of the large squares are solid and the other half are strips. I absolutely love it – what a fantastic idea. Can’t wait to see who wins this one!! elizabethlehman@hotmail.com

I’m so obsessed with this book! My favorite is Confetti Blocks but I’m also increasingly drawn to the wonky roman stripe (I think that’s what I’ve seen it called on other blogs).
I like the confetti quilt and the bubbles, not sure that’s what they’re called, but I still like those best.

They are all beautiful but I’ve been toying with the idea of making a Dresden plate quilt and a teal and red quilt so that one jumps out at me right away.
All 12 quilts look great! I can’t pick just one but two favorites: the one with random circles (confettii?) and the February one made from old guy’s shirts. How clever.
Every time I look at the quilts from this book I choose a new favorite, or add another one to my list. Right this minute, my favorite is the hexies, but I have been in love with each of them at least once. I am so hoping to win this book!

My goodness they are all wonderful, I need to choose? Well as a beekeeper, I am drawn to the honeycomb shape… I ‘m sweet on the hexagon quilt, Specks of Hex, love the way they all came together.
I love the quilt with the Triangles and gray background. But it was definitely hard to pick a favorite. Beautiful and fun stuff.
